Traffic Stop Leads to Lewis County Arrests

A TRAFFIC STOP ON LATE LAST WEEK LED TO SOME DRUG ARRESTS IN LEWIS COUNTY.  MEDIA SOURCES REPORT DEPUTIES WITH THE LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP ON WEDNESDAY JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT ON BUFFALO ROAD.  A SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE RESULTED IN THE DISCOVERY OF SEVERAL ILLEGAL PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA ALONG WITH WITH TWO PLASTIC BAGS CONTAINING A CRYSTAL LIKE SUBSTANCE BELIEVED TO BE METHAMPHETAMINE, ONE WEIGHING 7.59 GRAMS, THE OTHER .76 GRAMS.  ALL OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND FACE VARIOUS DRUG CHARGES.
